Did the message call you by name?
I suspect they are phishing for information here. If they call again, state that you are requesting a DV of the debt and to mail it to your address. Chances are they will hang up.

Yea, my full name...i mean, if they got my phone, why cant they just mail me a notice that i owe them something.... Im sure they all got my address.... last week, i got texts msgs as well...i mean, who collects debt by texts??? Serously???

should i even bother speaking with them??? And verify my name??
They are required by the FDCPA to send you a dunning notice within 5 days of contact. You need to send them a DV as it would be considered timely and time bar them from collecting on the debt until they have validated it.

so should i just wait for the notice? I really dont wanna speak with them over the phone....
The 5 days start with the action of attempting to collect a debt.
This includes, phone calls, mail, or even placing the item on your CR.
Wait for the notice, if you don't see one, send them a DV.
I did that to a company last week because of something that posted to my CR. I DV'd immediately and they sent me a letter, which I got on Monday, stating they are removing the account from my CR.
