Here's Where I Stand and Where I Need to Go....

Went from 7 collections to 3 ( and one is under $100 )

One aging off June/July 2013 (so that's 5)

Nothing past due

No Mortgage

No Loans of Any Sort

Debt is standing @ $1250 with $5800 available, cards are sock-drawered

My biggest obstacle now is Portfolio Collection @ $1400.  I offered pfd many times and no go.

What is the DOFD on the OC account that formed the basis for the collection, and what is the SOL status of the debt?

If  SOL has expired, it might be worth a shot to pick up the phone and have a serious "I know that I am no longer legally obligated" chat with them.

Making them aware that you know the score might result in a change of tactic on their part.
