How Do you find out if a CA is Liscensed in your state?

I live in NC and want to see if a CA is liscensed here any help is appreciated.

Looks like you go to the NC Dept. of Insurance, there's a menu on the "Agent Services" section that will allow you to look up whether a collection agency is licensed.
