How can a paid/closed car loan have 30 day late current status?

I am afraid to mess with this, as it is my oldest account, but it is showing as negative anyway with multiple 30 day lates. It was paid off in 10/09. Was going to send GW letter about the lates, but I have read that they are tough. I am more concerned with it showing a current status of 30 day late since it has been paid off for almost 3 years. I certainly don't want them to delete the tradeline. Not sure how this impacts my score...thoughts?

With a GW there are a few pitfalls that could come about, albeit small ones.  They can determine it as a dispute and put that on your CR, or if you're really worried about the AAoA, yes, you may go overboard and have the whole TL deleted.  Just my personal opinion, I wanted everything negative off mine.  But YMMV of course.

30 day lates do not matter to fico scores much after two years, most bankers don't look past 4 years unless it is a mortage applcation. IMHO, I would just let it ride and bury it with more positve trades.
