How do I opt out?

I have been reading on the forums that I should opt out. I did some website that is suppose to do this for you once you fill out the form. What exactly is opting out and how do I go about doing so? I have began working with a mortgage lender and do not want anyone snooping around my credit report and no surprises to come up once I try to close.

Then each CRA is notified and your file is blocked for promotional purposes.

If you opt out with current creditors you are in good standing with it prevents them from sharing your information with others.
