How is this an increase of 100%?

How is this an increase of 100%? CL is $500.

Its wrong, any percentage of increase starting at 0 is still 0. It has nothing to do with the CL of the account. If the balance had been 1 and moved to 45 that is a 4500% increase.

My Discover card went from $37 to $197. I received an alert of 450%. So yeah.....

I guess it's irrelevant. As long as it has no impact on my uitilization.

Eventually you'll not freak out over....every. little. thing. Also won't try to make sense out of it all. I've concluded it is what it is. I'll control what I can. These funky algorithms, moving on.

It does have an impact on Util - 9%.

 

Agree with OMW2, dont sweat the small, silly verbiage - you know what you need to do

Because any increase from zero, when calculated as percent, involves dividing by zero. This is a mathematically invalid function, so the program defaults to 100%
