I am not sure about the new company but I did pay Portfolio and they let me pay 15% less than they were asking and they completely removed the tradeline off my credit report. I would go into the conversation "if I agree to pay in full, will you remove this tradeline" it's worth a shot. They told me on the phone it was not possible they had to report blablabla but 3 months later it's all gone!
