I DVed Harvard Collection Services a while back and they failed to validate. I filed complaints with the FTC, AGs, and BBB and the next day they mailed a letter to me stating that the account has been closed by them and to "be assured that this account will be deleted from my credit report and your credit report will no longer reflect this information". It's been 10 days and it's still showing up with both of the CRAs.
Can someone tell me how long this normally takes? (few days, weeks, months, etc.) If it doesn't disappear soon should I fax a copy of it to the CRAs?
