How long to wait for creditor to update/fix reporting before disputing?

How long would you wait to see if the creditor updates/corrects the way the account is reported before you start directly trying to update?

Did they give you a timeframe?

Some creditors don't update daily ect ect

I usually wait a month before considering what to do next..

Can you give a little more detail as to what you are talking about?  That is a pretty vague question.
