I current,ly have two open accounts. one student loan account that has 5 months clean payment history and one secured card with a $500 limit, balance of $40 and payemnt history of 11 months. I do have some closed CC accunts and vehicle loans.
I am currently sitting at 630 score and would like to increas this but my concern is if I open a new card my score will drop right away? Is this true? Should I wait?
