How many times does the HIPPA process, NOT work?
I am asking because I noticed something on WHYCHAT's page about the CA:
Please understand, the CA may have NO liability under HIPAA, they are NOT the health provider. They are not in any way covered under the provisions of the act for "old accounts", however, if the account is "new" they ALSO must abide by all the privacy act rules,if THEY violate, they can also be named in your filed complaints.
So what is meant by "old" accounts? I am assuming accounts acquired before we started sending all the HIPPA forms whenever we went to the doctor.
So how often does the CA play hardball?
In the end, I guess since the CA already updated my DOLA, it wont hurt my score much more even if they update me to paid. But I really want this removed.
