How much are "old" lates affecting my score?

Hi everyone.  I have some old lates on my CRs and am wondering how much of an impact they're having.  On a paid Americredit auto loan I have 4 30-day lates from 2006 and on a paid Volkswagon Credit loan I have a few from 2003 & 2004.  I sent out GW letters to both asking them to remove the lates but just wondering what kind of damage the older ones are doing.

Thanks!

I've heard they have little affect after 2 years...

My last baddie, a 6.75 year old collection, dropped off and I gained more than 50 points
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Probably because it was your last baddie...most do see a big score increase when their last baddie comes off...Congrats though!!!
