How much harm is this closed account causing me?

I was an authorized user on my sister's credit card account which was shut in 2009. It has one negative record (A 30 day late payment in 2007).

I have no other late payments on my reports. Is this causing me much harm? My EQ fico score is 661 (Also have a collection from 2009 on there).

If it's causing harm, is it difficult to have an account removed for which I was an authorized user?

Not sure about how much it is harming you, but if the debt is not yours, it is not too difficult to be removed as an AU. You can contact creditor to remove, or you can go through CRA.

Would it be wise to try to get it removed? It was open from 2005 until 2009. My oldest credit card was also opened in 2005 (and it's still open) and I didn't open any other credit cards until earlier this year so this will probably kill my AAoA.

I am not looking into getting any other credit card/loan of any kind so if my score temporarily takes a hit, it's not a big deal.

It'll hurt AAoA.

I had one such account removed from my TU report, which for some reason has the least TLs on it, and now I only have a new account on it, so in reality I won't have a TU score for another three months. I probably should have left it alone. I did see a nice jump in EQ where I had more reporting TLs, the negative of that TL was a bigger factor there than AAoA.

I just sent a email to the chase executive office and they called me the next day saying they would delete it, and it was deleted the day after that !

Did they delete the entire TL or just the bad mark on the TL?
