So I sent a DV to Capital One, as the account in question, I thought was paid.
Anyway, I received a letter from Capital One saying We have received your credit bureau dispute regarding the Capital One Account.
In order to process your dispute, we need the following information:
the full name of the cardmember indicated on the Account
the full Account number
your SSN
your current address
a detailed explantion of your request
a copy of the page from your credit report indicating the Account reference in your request
OK, so it sounds like they are asking ME to verify the account; instead of them verifying.
How should I handle this?
