How to deal with OC when CA has debt?

I'm working of my husbands credit and need some help! He has 3 charge offs from 2007. The JBD and the OC is listed on the CR. I am going to try a PFD to the JBD, but what do I do with the OC?

The JDB will let the OC know that its paid. If not you can show the OC proof of payment.

Not likely. The zero balance will help your scores though. You can try to GW them later however.

The OC has it a listed as a 0 balance and charge off. I guess I'm not seeing how the OC knowing I paid the JDB would help.
