Re: How to get collections removed

Also i've read a lot of places about how negative items on your credit report only really have an impact on your score for 2 years but I know that is not true. Does anyone else find this to be true or not?

Re: How to get collections removed

Just thought of something... in the beginning when I started reading stuff in the forums a lot of people would  just keep sending letters to ask them to remove until I guess they caved in. Maybe I should try that. I wish there were not 3 credit bureaus. That's a lot of work to try to fix your stuff. Maybe we should only have 2 credit bureaus. LOL!

Re: How to get collections removed

I know. I was just thinking it would be so much easier if we didn't have 3 CRAs to deal with. The CA is Firstsource advantage. I did talk to the manager there. She's the one who told me about the 'Mom and Pop' companies because I told her I had another company delete an item for me once it was paid. The other is some law firm. The items are both under $150.

Re: How to get collections removed

I was reading message 9 and it had this statement:

If you had a judgement entered against you, then it was all over for you at that point.  You'd be paying them somehow (unless you lived in Texas).

Sorry, I thought by clicking reply on that message it would quote the message I was replying to.
