Re: How to go about removing charge off after 7yrs

It goes by the DoFD, not the repo.  So if the first late payment war in Aug of 2007, then it has not passed the CRTP yet.  It has a maximum of 7 years and 180 days.

Starting Score: 504
July 2013 score:
EQ FICO 819, TU08 778, EX "806 lender pull 07/26/2013
Goal Score: All Scores 760+, Newest goal 800+
Take the myFICO Fitness Challenge

Current scores after adding $81K in CLs and 2 new cars since July 2013
EQ:809 TU 777 EX 790 Now it's just garden time!

June 2017 update: All scores over 820, just pure gardening now.

Are you sure about this. I had a voluntary repo in 02/04 it deleted 02/11 off all 3 of my reports automatically. There were no lates prior to the repo though so maybe that makes a difference?  I know about the 7.5 from DOFD...

I agree dale, even though the "max" it can stay on is 7 years +180 days, they mostly remove at the 7 year mark to make sure they meet the requirements.  But with the OP if they had lates and the account was in arrears before the repo, then the date it went late and wasn't brought current would set the DoFD.
