How to prevent new collection

I have a collection agency that keeps pulling our credit reports. They are NOT on my CR as of now. We are hoping to start the mortgage process soon. What can I do to prevent this CA from popping up? I'm fairly certain they would be collection on a charge off that is 6 years off and falling off in April, so the SOL is up on suing.

I just don't want any problems!

Send them a DV letter.  I will put a cease collections bar in place.

It is possible it is an older collection too old to be on your CR.
