I have a medical collection that was threatening to go to court, I got an agreement to settle they are willing to report the debt as paid I sent them another letter stating that was unacceptable and that it would need to be deleted to comply with HIPAA regulations. How do I go about wording the final agremeent and or restrictive endorsement to get this creditor off my back and this debt payment not to effect my score? It doens't help that I'm closing in October and although my lender isn't making me pay my charge offs I don't want to end up in court over a $500 medical bill but I also don't want my score to tank because of it.
