Huge gain since March 2014

I've been working hard since the beginning of the year to fix my credit.  I started with a 520 in Nov 2013 and today I applied to convert my secured credit card at my CU into an unsecured and my rep told me my score is now 605!  It's a huge gain in my book, considering how many derogatory items I had on my report.  I've cleaned up most of it (sans my student loans) and added  an unsecured card with Cap 1, plus my current secured card with the CU (hopefully tomorrow it will be unsecured and higher CL).

My goal by the end of the year is to be 650+.  I think this is achievable.  I would like one more tradeline and then marinate what I have until Jan/Feb and see where I'm at from there.  It would be good to get a prime card.  For now though I am excited and happy I took the challenge.  Thanks for the great posters on here that have given me insight!

Congratulations.  The hard work pays off, which is very encouraging for someone like me.....can't wait till I'm in that happy fico score place

At 605 you might get some shopping cart trick pop ups. Try express and Victoria secret. These are soft pull so no effect on your score and it adds to your unsecured line which will help your score. My score jumped 50 points when I went from 1 unsecured card to 8. My number of accounts is now a B on the FAKO's but my available credit is now 3500 dollars and I've made a few small purchases on all and pay them off so its positive reporting for payments. As soon as my student loans are rehabbed at the end of this month I expect another large bump. That's 37 late payments falling off. I'll be almost clean after that.
