I know that CreditKarma does not give the "real" scores but it is usually a pretty good indicator of my progress. On Saturday I get this email from Credit Karma:
Hey Kenneth,
It looks like there is a change to your TransUnion credit report.
A new account was added to your credit report.
Do you recognize this new information?
When I looked at the Equifax report this is what I found:
I see the same open/closed account information (collection account still there) on my Transunion report but I had a 6 point increase.
This really hurts. Any ideas of what happened?
Thanks in advance.

When I looked at the Equifax report this is what I found:
- My Credit Union closed a 1 year old Credit Line account with a 350 limit.
- My Credit Union opened a Credit Line account with a $750 limit.
- A collection account has fallen OFF. (I am sure it will reappear)
- A drop from 585 down to 454.
I see the same open/closed account information (collection account still there) on my Transunion report but I had a 6 point increase.

You can safely disregard CK's scores - they are not true FICO scores and are often all over the map in reference to your real FICO scores.

I have looked at my CK and saw a huge point change and then I look at myfico and very little. One time I was so happy for 122 point jump on CK and myfico showed 23. lol
I experienced an 80+ point drop once on CK, and never saw anything change on MyFico.
