For whatever reason, the OC probably assigned the debt to another CA and now they are reporting.
If Commonwealth never notified the OC the account was paid, which they are supposed to, this could happen.
The fact that Commonwealth now is the parent company of the one reporting could be a coincident. It could not be also.

i got response from the CFPB and checked Equifax this morning - NORTHEAST is no longer showing on my negative accts page! i dont know if the CFPB did it or not, but its finally removed! i'm gonna call Equifax in a few just to double check but from what i can see - its deleted!

Hurray!!! Julie Miller won suite against Equifax for almost 19 million$$$$$ It was on Good Morning America show this morning. WAY TO GO GIRL!!
