Experian is the most difficult CRA to deal with. I have done PFD's on two accounts they were deleted from EQ and TU. It is still listed on Experian. I just did a settlement deal with another OC. The OC told me to call each CRA to have the information updated more quickly. I called EQ and TU my wait time was not long, and EQ and TU handled my dispute over the phone. I tried calling Experian, I get no answer then you have to enter a credit report file number. If you do not have that number they won't dispute. Then I attemtp to disput online, NO LUCK! So I guess i will attempt to get hard copy of my CR.
Is anyone else haveing this problem? If so, how do you handle it?
Have you ordered a copy of your credit report from www.annualcreditreport.com? If you haven't ordered one yet this year, you can pull that and it will have the file number on it.
I will check into that one. But my problem is, I have disputed these items before and they come back verified. The problem is they were PFD's that were deleted from EQ and TU. Experian will not delete it. Not seeing how they verified it, and other CRA's delete it.
Yeah, sorry I can't be of more help on the actual process of getting it deleted. Hopefully others will chime in.
There are threads on here talking about the direct dispute process where you dispute with the creditor rather than through the CRA. The general consensus, as far as I can remember, is that you are better off using that process (but I'm not sure if that applies to PFD arrangements). Run a search for "direct dispute" and I imagine you will find something.
Anyway, I imagine someone with more experience will help you soon. Good luck.
