I have had 4 items (collection accounts) deleted from my credit report in the past month, which is great! However, my score has not budged at all! After looking at my 3 in 1 FICO credit report, I think I have figured out why! I have made the wrong accounts my priority! My utilization is killing my score. It's 160%! I didn't realize that charge off accounts were still factored into utilization. I have a discover charge off with a $759 balance/$500 limit, a Macy's chargeoff with a $267 balance/$100 limit, and a Bloomingdale's account with a $228 balance/$100 limit. The Bloomingdale's account will be deleted soon, so hopefully that will help. However, I'm a bit lost on how to tackle these. Would PFD or GW work in my best interest? Any suggestions? I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
Fixing things isn't an overnight deal. Whereever you began repair, so be it...the final goal/outcome is a clean report either way.
Before you attempt to work on the CO's, determine the DOFD, and your state's SOL. I don't see legal action on these listed balances due to their amounts, but anything is possible.
