My Experian credit score has finally reached 708, and I was approved for an American Express credit card. Going to keep working to get a score of 800.

Congrats! What was your starting score?
Well done! Congrats!
I had not had a credit card in years and was surprised when I applied for two credit cards and was denied. That is when I obtained credit reports and first became aware of the many derogatory informations on my credit record. I was totally unaware that there were so many collections. So in February I started my credit repair crusade.
In February I found that my score was 639, and my credit report had collections and charge offs and late payments on it. I finally to do something about my credit score. So with lots of individualized good will letters and payments and requests for deletions, for the most part creditors were very coopeative with my requests for deletions from my credit reports. Right now, there is only one collection agency and one retailer who aren't cooperative, but I will work on them by sending more goodwill letters asking for deletions; hopefully, I will wear them down.
