Ok so I disputed a TL with EQ for an old second mortgage. I was fortunate to be one of the recipients of HAMP mod to my first mortgage and then later have my 2nd totally forgiven. I recieved a 1099 etc. Well it has been listed as transferred/sold for a while and that is not totally accurate so I took this as a chance to maybe have the whole TL removed bc it contained some lates and in general I don't think it looked good on my CR as I have been a good credit citizen for some time. I disputed just the status not the whole TL and today it came back as "Bad Debt; placed for collection; skip" **bleep**?? collection? skip? LOL
Please tell me what my next course of action is. This is flat out wrong and I want it gone ASAP. This seems illegal but maybe its my emotions getting in the way.
