I contacted the CA today

First, the collection folks are in India.  First thing I asked them is if I was talking on a recorded line and they said it "might" be.  I told the person I refused to speak on a recorded line so they got the manager who told me I was not on recorded line.  At the end of our brief conversation it told me that I had been recorded.  (That is okay because I said nothing of any relevance.)  I did tell him that recording me without telling AND doing so after I specifically asked not to be recorded and was assured I was not, is a FCRA and SEC violation.

Anyway, I have turned this over to my BIL who is an attorney.  He told me that this is fishy all around.

Recordings aside, what did you learn about the beef of your complaint with them?

Anything?
