I dream of the day when i can be picky of which CC i decide to have ....or which lender I decide to use.......the day when i no longer have to worry about something negative showing up on my credit report........the day ...which has already begun...... to where I keep my finanical future a priority and not default on anything and make all payments on time.
My mother was and still is bad at money.....and I of course have followed some what in those steps...but I am so past ready to break free of those chains that bind. I am not a overspender....I haven't carried more than $3,000.00 debt total in several years....I got caught in the PayDay loan & Title Loan Scam.....and not to mention I have been raising 5 children on my own....working 7 days a week.......
Sorry just feeling a little overwhelmed...
Cheryl
I only raised 2 children alone and that was hard enough. I can't imagine 5, especially school age.
Before I re-entered the military, most of my income was spent on daycare, which was more than my rent. Deciding which was more important, food or gas for the car, My kids always came first and bad credit or not, I don't regret one decision I made back then. You have to do what you have to do.
The end of the rainbow is closer than you think. You have been working hard and it will pay off.
Keep your chin up!

Truer words have never been spoken. Take your time, do it right, it will pay off.

We've all been in your shoes. A long time ago I was a single dad. That changed in 2007 when I married an awesome woman.
Sometimes the good pitcher upstairs throws you a lot of curve balls. Sometimes you hit them...sometimes you don't. It all works out eventually.
I totally agree...I also think that this site is a Godsent for many people and that every thing happens for a reason. We may have made financial mistakes that brought us to this point but now we know better and can teach our children the proper way so they won't make the same mistakes. I am far from where I want to be but coming from where I started I am very hopeful that my bad credit will soon be a thing of the past. Keep your head up and just keep doing the right thing.
Thank You to everyone...Your encourgement keeps me pushing on.....I too at 1 point in time....starting in 2006 I was paying out $800.00 a month in daycare...and $920.00 in rent...along bills and food....etc...you get my point..... I am just really happy that all of that is behind me now...it's just the struggle to make it "right" .....sigh...it's getting better.
