I know creditkarma scores are crap, but....

After taking care of a couple collections accounts (PFD) and opening a few new store cards and a new CapOne in the last 45 days.....

my CreditKarma score has gone up 79 points!!!

I know, I know...CK scores are useless. But seeing something positive is soooo wonderful, even if it's not really a usable number.  I'm just hoping that my real scores reflect a similar trend

Sounds like we are on a similar path. I use CK to let me know when accounts have changed. I am waiting for my first SW alert after quite a bit changes taking place this month? Do you use SW?

I don't currently - I wanted to get as much deleted/disputed or paid as I could while I had my free reports from annualcreditreport.com and use creditkarma to keep me updated on changes that occur. I also have a shiny new Walmart card for the TU FICO monthly. But, I'm going to bite the bullet in a month or two and pay scorewatch or something similar to get a better handle on things once I've done what I can with what I have now. Yes, I'm cheap like that!

You can do the 10 day free trial of SW. Then if you call they'll lower the monthly payment to $9.95 instead of $14.95.

I did that for a while but I just wanted to know where I was with my FICO score. I want to get the Walmart card but I am waiting until my score gets over 620 and then I will try.

I have ScoreWatch and myFICO Quarterly Monitoring. I wake up my wife during the middle of the night to tell her I have a Score Watch alert and I went up 25 Points or so. Her head spins like Linda Blair in The Exorcist and I'm forced to sleep on the sofa...Very addicting product.

You mean I'm not the only nutcase who goes to sleep thinking of dispute wording and how soon a collection account will delete and when statements are cut and........yeah.  I'm slightly obsessed with this now - after years of not really paying attention.

What am I going to do when it's as clean as it will get until the remaining bad things age off by early 2015?!?!
