I started my credit repair around March 2012 with a low 500 score (it was probably in the 400's at one point) and now I am almost 150 points higher and still climbing. I was pre-approved for a mortgage yesterday but requested that they send my file to underwriting before issuing a preapproval letter (I don't want to go through the whole process if I'm going to be denied later) and the broker assured me that looking at my file I will be fine but I just want to hear it from the people that will make the final decision. I still have a bunch of baddies on my report but they are all paid, I don't have any recent lates, low utllization and good DTI. So hopefully all goes well and I will hear some good news next week. Getting a mortgage is just one (major) step in my plan for financial freedom and as I clean up my credit I feel like it is finally possible. Thank you to every one here who always provides invaluable advice and support.
Good job,, Congrats!

Thanks Shogun...I can't wait until I get one of your happy dances when it finally happens.
Congrats! My rebuild started around the same time and it sure is a good feeling to have made so much progress!

Indeed...next stop 700! Congrats on your progress as well.
I was in the same position you were, then I got my mortgage, and I got very aggressive and serious with my CRs. So after you get that mortgage, it's time to ramp it up a bit and then make those scores soar!!!!!

That's the plan...I have a few items due to fall off next year and I will send GW letters to get the others removed. I want to be in the Shogun 800 club!.
I thought this was so inspiring Bravo
I don't see any reason you won't be approved
Best wishes and keep pushing forward
Congrats!
