Hi all!
I'm glad to have found this board. I need some serious help!
I've been working with a mortgage broker to get to a point where I can qualify for a home loan. Despite the fact I currently pay all of my bills ontime, I have some dings on my credit. These are mostly due to a rough patch and a divorce about two years ago.
My current scores are:
Equifax-- 587
Transunion-- 523
Experion-- 591
I was told I must have a 620 in order to qualify for a loan.
So here's my question-- how do I get to that magic number?
I had one judgment that has been released, I put my student loans back in repayment, and I settled two of the credit cards. Neither credit card company was willing to give me a letter of deletion.
I was told by the mortgage broker to NOT send the release of judgment letter to the credit agencies or to make any further inquiries to the credit report, as doing these things would hurt the credit.
Thoughts?
Any advice on how to pay off/settle this last debt and get it deleted? It's with Sunrise Credit Services.
Thank you!
Where did you get your current scores? From the lender?
Can you tell us a little more about the debt with Sunrise Credit?
Do you have any CAs reporting?
Any open, good standing CC? If so, what is your utilization?
