Congrats !!!! I just read this thread from the beginning for the first time. You sounded so desperate and low in your first post. So glad to read the progress and your outcome so far. You'll be over 700 very, very, soon. Great job. Inspiration for others. Awesome !!!!! 🙌🙆🙌🙆🙌🙆

Re: I really could use some advice

I felt completely hopeless when I first started. I thought... man nothing good ever happens to me why will anyone agree to pfd? But I thought if I didn't try then certainly nothing will happen. And I just preached to my niece about not trying out for softball because she thought she wouldn't make it.

So I had to try. I just told someone else to.

Luckily I did and researched this forum beforehand to get my ducks in a row before chatting with collectors.

Re: I really could use some advice

Congrats on your progress. You have done a great job and your hard work has paid off. Sometimes our adversity regardless of the origins is a wonderful longterm experience because it teaches us some valuable lessons. We learn things about money, credit, budgets, credit cards, Fico scores etc. Apart from the pain, how would we ever otherwise come to such liberating knowledge? It's all about facing our fears and be just enough determined to make a change.
