Amex Collections Dept: 800-921-6490 (people on blacklist can call this number)
If I call this number will the SOL that is now 7.5 years old renew?
How do I move it?
Thank you sir!

Simply talking about an old balance due isnt going to reset states SOL. What does in some states is making any payment on the debt and in other states a new promise to pay is required then subsequent default for a new cause of action to start the clock ticking. If you are asking if it can be updated to report for a longer period of time on your CR then no its one period only a max of 7.5 yrs from the accounts DoFD. When you mention SOL on these forums it typically refers to state law on time periods to sue someone and get a successful judgment.
In some states, verbally admitting owing the debt restarts the SOL. Not all states are equal.
Unfortunately, I don't know all the states. Mine is must pay to restart. And as Dale mentions, SOL does refer to court action time.
