If there was fraud on one of my banking accounts can I use that to clear up other credit issues

I've been repairing my credit and last year my credit union account was hacked and used in Texas. I called my Credit union and they issued me a new card. Does that open up any doors to have paid collections removed?....Im trying to look at all options at this point. Im sending letters also but just thought I'd ask.

Fraud steming from that would only include items in collections that deal with that account that was used.
