Darn. yea I checked my bank statment and I actually paid it on the 11th of Nov, 2008.
I copied and paste from my Equifax report. This is the Capital One account. We would like to buy a car around Feb so this is why I am stuck as to what to do with this.

I'm still not sure which direction to go many times in my life.
Did you ever find out the DoLA for this account?
From a BK years ago to:
EX - 9/09 pulled by lender 802
EQ - 7/06-663, 3/10-800
TU - 8/10-772
You can do the same thing with hard work
From what I see the DOLA is Oct of 2008.
I believe i may have sprouted a few grey hairs having to start this "clean up"...lol. Man this can make anyone's head spin! ;0

If it were me I'd continue with the GW efforts. The risk of updating the account is worth the possiblity of getting the CO removed. But only you can decide that.
Something I didn't mention before. The lates that led to the CO will also need to be removed. That is a separate issue from the CO.

Ok-O I think Im wrong about it not being updated monthly. I am getting my info from Exerpian and they are updating monthly. I believe I wll send GW to remove derogs and see what happens. If they are updating monthly my score is already taking the hit. I should go ahead and get a TU report since if Im doing my homework right they list more info. Any derogs they can remove will be less derogs they have to factor into the scoring and for right now, trying to get a car in Feb I guess that would make more since. On another note my husband has ONE 30 day late on Chase CC in Aug of 06 that has been in good standing since. I had him use his message center on Chase.com to send them a message. This morning we looked and someone said that he forwarded the message to another department and we should receive a answer within 1 day!!!!! Im crossing my fingers!!!! Please do the same for us forum!!
ok-recieved a message back from Chase message center. This is what it said:
Dear Allen Longoria,
Thank you for contacting Chase about your account ending
with xxxx.
I am unable to remove the late payment reflected on your
credit bureau report for the account ending with 8465. A
delinquency is reported to the credit bureaus when the
full minimum amount due is not received for two
consecutive months.
To preserve the integrity of the credit bureau reporting
system, I am unable to alter valid information that is
reflected on a credit report.
Your August 2006 delinquency is due to be removed in six
months. anyone have any idea why its six months?? Im confused.
I appreciate that you're a responsible consumer and want
you to fully understand any impact to your credit file.
To get information about improving your scores, or how
they're calculated I can provide you with the information

confused.....any ideas?

A late payment from 8/2006 should be there until 8/2013. If they delete this early you are fortunate and hopefully they will do this for all your late payments.
