Interesting way Capital One is billing with new credit card laws

Today I got new credit card bill, electronically to my bank account for husband's capital one credit card.  Almost gave me a heart attack, as I paid this bill today (electronically).  The payment I made today is due 7-1-10.  Statement I received today is due 8-1-10.  See that this could be potentially confusing, and easy to miss a payment due.  Guess they're not waiting until after the payment due date anymore to issue the next statement???  Thought  I missed a payment and might have been socked with late fees.  Look forward to these early bills on their way to you.  Anyone else experienced this yet?

Just be aware that the new laws require the same due date every month and prepare for that.
