Is CreditInform a good website to monitor my credit...I got it for free from CapitalOne

When I was approved for the Capitalone secured card, they gave me a free subscription to CreditInform.  I have been using this program to inquire about my credit score and my credit report.

Is it reliable information?  Is the score (based on my Experien report) reliable?

It says I am at 617...can I assume that this is accurate?

No.

No CMS out there gives you your real FICO score.  They all give you what is called a FAKO score.

You will only get your real TU and EQ FICO from here (or a different vs of a TU FICO score via the walmart CC)

What a lot of do, is sign-up for SW and quarterly monitoring through here to get our TU and EQ scores and reports, in conjunction with signing up with USAA CMS, so we can pull all 3 CRs each day for free.

5/2012: 560 credit scores across the board
12/2014: 750+
3/2017: 780+
11/2019: 833
2/2023: Experian via Chase United Explorer CC pull - 891

I recently signed up for USAA's CMS and enjoy their service, but I know the scores are FAKOS.

I have the same program and I like it. Just know that you get 2 reports free/yr BUT they don't update them automatically. To update it, you have to request it. Also, aside from the monitoring service, you can call a rep and ask questions regarding your report and situation and they can assist you. They are required to pass courses regarding credit and information in order to have the job.

Cap1(sc) 550, Cap1 750, Walmart 750, Home Depot 3000, Amazon 700, US Bank 1500, Childrens Place 1100, JC Penney 700, Old Navy 700, PayPal 700, Torrid 700, Lane Bryant 150, Avenue 500, OSP 500, Amex Blue 2000, Disc it 1000, Walmart Disc 2200, Old Navy Visa 1700, Mortgage 09-2012, Car Loan 03-2013

I agree with using ScoreWatch from MyFico and USAA Credit Watch. You can pull all 3 reports from the USAA site everyday.

I also use creditscore.com which I like, but mycreditinform.com is free with the cc and is a good service.

I would call them and ask. I never pay much attention to the score, just the report and analyzer.
