Is it the size?

So, quick question as I go through trying to get rid of all these "baddies."

Out of my 16-21 (depending on the report) "baddies" 10 of them are with 3 different CAs and are relatively small amounds.

If, by some miracle, I was able to negotiate a PFD for these, I'm wondering how much it will help increase my score etc.

Essentially of those 3 CAs are only total up to about 15% of my total collections, but 50% of my baddies.

My question is, do the bureaus look at number of collections or amounts?

I realize I need to pay them all off at some point, but I'm trying to figure out what is the better place to start, total numbers or total amounts?

Thanks in advance.
