No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
If one has no history of credit on their account, would it generate a report.
Only thing on my CR's are charge offs from utility companies, I got this in the mail today, a denial letter from a CCC.
"Using the Name, Adress, Date of Birth, and Social Security Number you provided us, we were unable to locate your credit report".
In this instance, yes. You have no FICO score.
When I got hired on at sears, they make all employees sign up for a sears card (a forced hard inquiry, but I did not argue because I needed the job).
When they typed in my SSN, it pre-filled info for the application.
My DOB was listed as 4/20/1981, 10 years older than I really am.
Reason is, when I was 16, I lied about my age in order to obtain credit. ( I think it was a capital one preaproval I got in the mail)
I put 4/20/1981 as the DOB.
So...
1. Is it possible (at all) to have two credit reports?
2. Why would the sears CC app prefill the wrong date of birth?
Two of my CB's reports say "on credit report files since 2007", but I was 15 in 2007.
