Hi, One of only baddies left on my husbands credit report is a Judgement from the state of Arkansas from 2010. The reason we had the judgment was because in 2007 due to my diagnosis of Cancer and being so sick we didn't file our state taxes. We honestly forgot about it but when we found out about it in 2010 we weren't to worried about it because we had never had to pay in. So in October 2010 they placed a 1500.00 lien. We filed income taxes immediately and by December 2010 we actually got refund checks from the state of Arkansas which means our judgment shows as released. Can I get this vacated and can anyone tell me where to start?
Thanks so much,
Start with the county clerk of the courts office in the county it was filed in.
Ask specifically about getting a satisfied judgement vacated.
