First off, it is reporting incorrectly. This is a CA that has coded itself as a Factoring Agent. Otherwise they would not be able to list as they do. IE Open Account, listing key derogatories. There's no date of DOFD, just a DOLA. I would find out the DOFD of the account and see if it is within the SOL of your state. This may give you a little advantage when settling with them. Maybe a PFD could be negotiated.
Looks like it has a current balance which is most likely affecting utilization.
I'm assuming it is hurting my utilization received a denial letter due to excessive high revolving limit.....Which is funny I have nothing else on my report, but this account. I have 1 CC for the past 5 months that is always PIF before statement cut, and never close to limit.
Shogun, the account is the infamous Tribute CC. I currently have complaints filed with the State AG, FTC, FDIC, and Pennsylvania Banking Dept. The CC should have never been reported due to the lawsuit, and by clear definition of CA and "Factoring Company" they are in clear violation, and it's amazing how blind eyed the CRA are to this stuff.....The SOL is well past, so not concerned at all about being sued by them.....Just figuring it is hurting my utilization, when in reality it should have no bearing.
