I started rebuilding my credit about 2months ago. I started this forum in the 400s now in low 600s and to top it off.....I applied for my first unsecured card(Cap 1) and was approved.

I was planning to open a secured card at the end of this month but thank to this forum and some research....got my first unsecured card in about 7yrs.

I wish I had some secrets to share. I know that everyones credit history is different. All i did was set aside a hour a day to review my report/search the my ficoforums for tips/ write gw letters and dispute accounts. I was guilty of ignoring my credit for a long time..lol out of sight out of mind.
But once I had it in my face...I was forced to get it in order.
I was able to find VP of collections companies and I contacted them directly to have things deleted. I had two success and one that still wont budge. lol
People thought I was crazy when I said that by Dec 2012 I would be at least 660 across the board but it is possible.
