Jeferson Capital sell my account?

I am trying to communicate with Jeferson Capital. I have not been able to speak with anyone, a recording gives me a number to enter my account number or social security entered the SS number tells me. This account is not handled by our office please call and give me a number of another collection agency. whats wrong?

Call the collection agency number their system gives you - JC is known to farm out many of their account to other CA's.

Find out and the number is from another collection agency, but I am afraid to negotiate a PFD because the name of the agency that is on my credit report is JC.
