Re: Joining two credit units ?

Do you mean credit unions?  It wouldn't hurt you to belong to more than one.  Some often are members of more than one.  It just depends on your circumstance as to whether it is actually beneficial.

You're welcome.   Do you have one in mind?  A local one?  If you are elligible for NFCU I would highly suggest them.

Re: Joining two credit units ?

I've been looking into it myself, my father was retired from the DOD, so maybe I stand a chance.

Re: Joining two credit units ?

There's an article I read about having multiple bank/credit union accounts. Reason being that if something goes wrong with one of your accts (fraud victim, dispute, bank goes under, etc) you will have the other to fall back on.

I personally have 2 credit unions and my main bank. Most of my money is in the bank but there's a bit of emergency cash in the other two accts.

I've had my bank ATM card compromised twice and it's a pain when those fraudsters take you.
