Judgement Bad Credit please help!

Hi I'm new here sort of I don't post a lot but I do read. I am 23 just applied for my first apartment and discovered there is a judgement on my record. Last year my mom broke the lease where we stayed due to a roach problem. Now there is a balance of $2903 which they are letting us settle for $1800.

I also cannot get any new credit and outside of my student loans have $30,000 in debt. I really want to clean this up myself and not file bankruptcy. Will I ever be able to get an apartment with this judgement?

Because it is owed to another property it could be an issue.

If I pay it does that help or no?

If it is paid it may not be that big of an issue.  However, before applying for anything, I would ask the landlord/manager straight out what are their requirements.  It will save a lot of frustrations down the road.  And keep you from applying for something you may be turned down for in the end.
