Judgment in New York

I have a judgment from Capital One that is supposed to fall off my report this year in August.

I'm thinking of contacting Capital One and asking them how I'd go about paying this.

Have any of you gone through this? Should I contact Capital One directly or go to the court and pay it?

Any information and advice on how to tackle this is very much appreciated.

I was wondering too when does a paid judgment gets removed from the credit reports for NY residents.

Is it 5 years from the filed date? Or 5 years from the date paid?

Thank you.
