Just Starting: Need help

Hello all,

Today is my first post. I have been reading post all night and need some help. Right about now my credit is a mess. However, I am determined to get back on track this year. I have pulled my credit report from Equifax and Credit Karma. I need help with the first steps to take. I think I should start by sending DV for the collections that I have on my reports. I live in Florida and if I read this correctly I think they should be past the SOL. Please help!

The dates in red above are the key dates, states SOL runs from this date, these would be considered written contracts. These can be reported on your CR for up to 7,5 yrs from the DoFD, states SOL is only the time period given a creditor to obtain a successful judgment, if you were to be sued past states SOL expiration you would be able to get the case dismissed based on the SOL but only if you assert it,

As above poster said, you wont go to court over it but its still on your reports for a few more years so hurting your score.

I would ask for verification and then try for a PFD if that wont work a settlement offer so it atleast shows as paid.  (its been long enough, they may even take a settlement for a delete)

2008 one should be off your reports by end of year either way(or shortly after), Id concentrate on the others that are gonna be there for awhile.  Good luck.

Telecomm accounts fall under a federal law which limits the SOL to 2 years.
