So I am currently in the garden, and it's pretty hard sometimes to not run off and start an app. Does anyone else have this urge? I know that I need to AAoA and revolving to age, so i don't want to apply for more credit, plus I want my inq's to age. Just wondering if anyone else has this urge when they're in the garden!!!
Each and every one of us have the urge but knowing why we're there and having a long term plan helps ease the urge.
So stay strong and it will be well worth it also the longer you stay the easier it gets to say no

All the time... Well.. a lot of the time now. It sort of gets easier. Join this thread if you'd like: Garden Club Meeting - January 2014
All the time my friend. Especially when I get a score update and it goes up. I really want to start applying, but I have to many inquires. I recieved a two letters one from Wal-Mart and another from Barclay starting that I have many inquires listed on my credit report that why I wasn't approved. I have around 10-12 that I need to let age before applying again.
Trust me it's hard but I know not applying will payoff in the long run.
No ... not me. I will not app for any credit without a specific need/objective in mind. I'm treating credit as a tool to be used when appropriate. Now, about the urge for a shot of good whiskey? Absolutely!
It's tough, for sure. You come up with a good plan that you think gives you great odds of success, and then you read about a bunch of approvals that sound like situations that are similar to yours, and figure what the heck, I could probably pull it off right now, right???... Maybe. But there was a reason that you put your plan in action in the first place. Still hard though, I'm with you. I want the Hyatt card, and said I would app in May. Could I get it sooner? Maybe. But I estimated that May would give me the best odds for success, so I am sticking to it.
If the approvals forum gives you the urge, don't go there. Or any other ones that make it harder. Just do what's best for you, and everything else will work itself out.
Just stay out of the Credit Approvals section of forum. That's like an alcoholic going to a bar!
