Unfortunately suggesting or advocating the backdooring of reports isn't allowed on these forums. You can still get free reports though via annualcreditreport, if you've been denied credit, faced adverse action like a rate increase or CLD, or if you think you might be a victim of ID theft. - llecs, myFICO moderator
@Shogun wrote:KD is key derogatory, but no a CA can't report that. They don't even have a code for it. The only way they can put that on there is to list themselves as a Factoring Company thereby giving themselves certain aspects as listing as an OC. Yes you can fight this, I have and won.
In reviewing my 3 reports (directly from each bureau), EX shows KD on 2 COs and 2CAs.
Since it's only this way on EX, is this EX's doing, or the creditors?
I filed a complaint with the BBB, FTC and State AG. They removed.
Is there anything we can cite in our complaints to back up "CA can't have a KD in payment history"?
Edited:
For reference if it matters...the KD on my collections are the first payment in payment history, then every month after that says "ND" or "OK" once it was paid.

Help me to understand too, Shogun. I have a couple of KD as well from CAs. What does the fight entail? Thank You
FYI -- I just initiated a dispute with EX and when I did so, it did NOT show the KD but instead showed a legend of "C" which their key definitions said is for "Collection".
Didn't finish the dispute.
Yes, that makes a difference. Mine had lates and phantom payments on it.
