I'm having one of the best days ever!! Was able to clear up an old debt with a PFD and my student loan lender removed my previous late payments (30 & 60) and will be reporting this info to the 3 CRAs!!!

My carrier is the SC Student Loan Corp.
HOW: I just called them on Monday morning (after reading these boards all weekend) and asked the customer service rep as an act of goodwill could the 2 lates ( Dec 11 & Jan 12) be removed from my account. I also told her I was willing to make another payment that would make my account paid up until Feb 13. She said let me check with my supervisor and they would call me back with their response. The CSR called me back this morning and told me that as a one time courtesy ALL of the lates would be removed from the account She told me to expect a letter in the mail within the next 3 weeks. By the time we had ended our convo she had sent the letter to my email as well.
